Job Description
Job Summary
The Education Coordinator collaborates with educators, volunteers, interns, and
community partners to enhance learning opportunities and support the educational
needs of individuals, particularly those in underserved populations. The position also
oversees the supervision, improvement, and expansion of new and existing programs
based on community needs and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Program Development, Implementation & Management
● Design, implement, and manage educational programs that align with the
organization’s mission and community needs.
● Ensure all program policies, procedures, and compliance requirements are
implemented consistently and effectively.
● Develop curriculum and instructional materials that are culturally relevant,
engaging, and responsive to participant needs.
● Monitor, evaluate, and enhance program effectiveness; recommend and
implement improvements based on data, feedback, and emerging needs.
● Supervise and support the ongoing development of both new and existing
programs.
Collaboration & Partnership Building
● Build and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, and
other stakeholders to expand educational opportunities.
● Collaborate with educators, volunteers, and interns to support program delivery
and student learning.
● Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and outreach activities to promote educational initiatives.
Training, Supervision & Support
● Provide training, onboarding, and ongoing support for volunteers, interns, and
staff involved in educational programs.
● Offer guidance on best practices, instructional strategies, and effective program
facilitation.
● Assist in the recruitment, scheduling, and supervision of volunteers and interns
to ensure high-quality program implementation.
Outreach & Community Engagement
● Conduct outreach to engage families, schools, and community members in
educational programs and resources.
● Organize workshops, information sessions, and community events to raise
awareness of educational opportunities.
● Develop communication strategies and marketing materials to promote
programs and increase participation.
Data Collection, Evaluation & Reporting
● Collect, track, and analyze data related to program participation, outcomes,
and impact.
● Prepare reports for funders, leadership, and stakeholders to demonstrate
program effectiveness and compliance.
● Use participant feedback and evaluation findings to inform program
improvements and future planning.
Job Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, public administration, or a related
field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 3 years of experience in program
coordination, education, or community engagement, preferably in the nonprofit
sector. -
Strong understanding of educational principles, curriculum development, and
teaching methodologies -
Experience supervising or training volunteers, interns, or staff. (Preffered)

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and build strong
community partnerships. -
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for events and program
activities -
Bilingual: Spanish - English (Preferred)
