Providing opportunities for youth and their families to socialize and connect with the outdoors while learning about mental health, leadership & civic engagement. All the activities are offered at no cost.
In summer of 2025, Vida Activa had about 150 participants.

Youth Summit
The Youth Summit annual celebration brings together McDowell County students, community members, and local leaders to promote youth civic engagement. Students present their ideas and concerns to the Marion City Council, fostering meaningful dialogue and leadership development. In partnership with Building Integrated Communities (BIC) and the City of Marion, this event serves as a platform for youth voices to be heard, valued, and empowered.
