Culturas Unidas Festival

In May 2022, one of our dreams came true: Centro Unido, together with other partners, brought the first Latino mural to McDowell County. To commemorate the inauguration of the mural, we celebrated our first festival, then called “See Our Voices”, honoring the name of the mural. For the first time our community was able to see representation of its culture on a large scale. Given the success of this first festival, we decided that we wanted to celebrate this annually. In September 2023 we held our second edition, this time called Culturas Unidas (United Cultures), coinciding with Hispanic Heritage Month and we surpassed 1,000 attendees. Reaching this number meant that in 2024 we are bringing the Culturas Unidas Festival to the heart of Marion: Main Street.
